 "description": "<DIV STYLE=\"text-align:Left;\"><DIV><DIV><P><SPAN STYLE=\"font-weight:bold;font-size:12pt\">Overview<\/SPAN><\/P><P><SPAN>This feature service provides polygon boundaries for the municipal limits of the City of Santa Barbara. It supports geographic reference, boundary review, and map display for city-scale planning and analysis.<\/SPAN><\/P><P><SPAN>Being a portion of the completed information, this data was compiled by Santa Barbara County, Public Works Department, Surveyor Division The shapefile was created to provide a spatial reference for boundary information of Incorporated Cities. It is a geographical depiction for reference only. The records that define the boundary are Resolutions, ordinances, minute orders, exhibit maps and legal descriptions for formation, annexation, detachment and reorganization actions were compiled from incorporated cities, the Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCO), the County Surveyor, the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors, and the County Recorder.
